Neuralgia
Post-herpetic (post shingles) and trigeminal neuralgia are conditions we see often at Quantum. Sufferers often present with debilitating pain in the face (in the case of trigeminal) which often inhibits daily activity. Low level laser therapy (or cold laser) can be used to treat neuralgia due to its ability to modulate signals travelling along nerves. Over cumulative treatments the treatment serves to desensitise the nerves without inhibiting their function.
The number of treatments required for neuralgia can be longer than other musculoskeletal conditions because at its core it is a nerve problem however the treatment is non-drug and non-invasive and can be applied without touching the skin.
